HER stands for Honesty, Equality, and Respect, all of which reflect HER Roofing’s core values. HER Roofing is a 100% woman-owned company started by founder Jana Zavala. HER Roofing helps homeowners pick the best roof style and color that will beautify their home and increase curb appeal, all while providing long-lasting protection on their most significant investment, their home.
Jana Zavala has more than 22 years of experience in the roofing industry. She has trained roofing contractors nationwide on proper installation, specifications, and contractor certifications for major manufacturers. Jana is also a founding member of National Women in Roofing and aims to improve the American roofing industry with her life’s work. She has won Presidents’ Club, Extra Mile, and Raise the Roof awards from manufacturers. She has also been named the vendor representative of the year and was a Western States Roofing Contractors Association (Davis Memorial) Scholarship, the recipient. She believes in continuing education and has become a RESNET certified green contractor, attends major roofing industry shows, and continuously increases her knowledge on industry-related topics, specifications, and industry studies. Jana is also a professional speaker and enjoys running. She is married with three children and a dog, Daisy.
